Responsiblities
As a principal designer for Emporos, I was tasked with identifying and creating user personas for Hilo; A suite of applications for pharmacies that acted as both a point-of-sale and financial management platform.
Process
The process of generating these user personas included deep learning about how pharmacies operate as well as documenting the common job functions within a pharmacy and their individual workflows. My research included watching youtube vlogs of people who worked at outpatient pharmacies, interviewing pharmacy staff that were trusted partners of Emporos, and visiting a retail pharmacy to observe their day-to-day work.
Findings
The personas below represent the primary users of Hilo's product suite–from it's point of sale application used by pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, to it's financial management tool used by pharmacy accountants and inventory specialists. These personas ultimately helped shape Emporos' product strategy with Hilo's suite of products.
